The journey started back in 2004 in the basement of our Executive Chairperson’s (Mo Parkin) home. The dream was to create a business built on the quality provision of teachers and education staff for long-term and specialist positions.
Early investment in a dedicated candidate attraction team led by a Headteacher has paid dividends enabling us to assess and support candidates’ development and accurately match their skills to your positions. Results speak for themselves - an incredible 30% of candidates come to us via referral, and over 96% of surveyed schools are ‘highly satisfied’ with our service. Strong relationships with customers and candidates have enabled Academic Appointments to become the leading boutique education staffing provider in the North of England.
Embracing cutting-edge, innovative technologies have had a positive influence on the way we recruit talent and the breadth and depth of potential candidates. A multitude of devices and platforms have made our world a smaller place, easing access to anyone, anytime, anywhere - ideology we could only have dreamt of 10 years ago. Nothing, however, will ever replace human interaction - recruitment is a people business after all! Clients and candidates alike will always prize highly the dedication, focus and commitment a great recruiter brings to the table to find you the best talent.
In 2017, Academic Appointments became Child-Friendly Ambassadors for Leeds.

Are you ready to make the next step in your career? Would you like to work somewhere where your opinion is valued and your success is rewarded? Wouldn't you simply like to enjoy being at work? Yes? Then you should seriously consider sending us your CV.
Our consultants spend a 100% of their time working on their schools, they work in partnership with our Candidate & Compliance Team, and our Marketing Team and each department have their very own Coordinator. This model works well as it allows them to concentrate on placing more specialists.
To our schools and specialists, we are a family, we work together to achieve. We have fun and we work hard whilst doing so. Yes, we have tough days but we pull each other through.
You might like to know about some of the benefits our staff enjoy; pension, 33 days holiday (inclusive), flexible working patterns, social events and celebrations (with and without the fancy dress!), amazing AGMs, career progression, world class coaching and development, pizza Fridays etc. etc.
