You're singing it, now aren’t you? Sorry, but I couldn’t resist as this week has been all about doing just that!
Our Doncaster Office turned one, and boy did we celebrate!
The week began with my husband and I (yes, the poor guy got roped in), on Sunday morning (ok I admit that was mean), packing party bags full of treats and favours ready to deliver to schools around Doncaster. Amidst stuffing balloons and packets of Haribo’s into bags, I felt a sense of achievement, we’d done it! Academic Appointments had opened and ran a successful South Yorkshire branch for a year, and I couldn’t wait to share it with the schools on Monday!
The week began with three of the management team; Pete Riley (MD), Matthew Walkley (Sales Manager) and I, heading out, armed with party bags, baked goodies and birthday cards.
As a Marketing Manager, I don’t get out often, into schools I mean, so it was lovely to go out and meet some of the very friendly and welcoming people we support. Everyone was so nice and kept wishing us a happy birthday back. By the end of the day on Tuesday, I felt like it was mine!
Yesterday, Clare Oram (Business Manager) and Louise Lacey (Secondary Specialist) finished the remaining deliveries and safe to say they enjoyed their day just as much as I did.
All in all, we managed to spread the celebrations across 100 schools in Doncaster!
Oprah Winfrey once said, ‘The more you celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate’, I agree – and I think it goes for work-life too! Every single member of Academic Appointments has had some part in the development and success of the Doncaster Office so it’s important to acknowledge and celebrate such an achievement.
Happy Birthday, Doncaster Office! Here’s to another year (at least).
