Academic Appointments are currently working in partnership with a Primary School located in Wakefield to appoint a Teaching Assistant/Behaviour Support Worker.

The school are looking for a resilient Teaching Assistant who is committed to investing in and developing the future of their pupils, whilst having a holistic approach to managing difficult situations with pupils.

The role will be supporting a primary pupil on a 1:1 basis with ADHD, so it is important that applicants have strong behaviour management skills and experience of working with challenging pupils previously.

This is an improving school that is entering exciting changes, including a fresh and inspiring curriculum that aims to support the development of all pupils.
The school has also recently appointed a new Headteacher, who has already taken effective action to address the weaknesses within the school.
All staff here are dedicated and fully understand their role in ensuring all reach their full potential, and are proud of what their pupils achieve.

  • Strong behaviour management skills

  • A valid DBS or be willing to obtain one
