Academic Appointments are working alongside an alternative provision in the Wakefield area who are looking to appoint a Behaviour Support Worker.
School are keen to work with an individual who is resilient and passionate who has an interest in extra-curricular activities.
The provision offers a high-quality education for pupils with a wide variety of special needs, SEBD, Autism, ODD and ADHD. This role will involve supporting a mixture of needs at KS3 and KS4 level.
Team Teach training is desirable for this setting. If you have not gained a Team Teach qualification before, candidates would be encouraged to complete this training through ourselves.
The role full-time, Monday to Friday, and is due to start immediately on an on-going basis.
- Previous experience working with SEMH and/or experience working in a Pupil Referral Unit
- Strong behaviour management skills
- A valid Team Teach qualification, or willingness to obtain one
- Two satisfactory references
- A valid DBS certificate, or be willing to obtain one
