Behavioural Support Worker

Academic Appointments are currently working alongside a highly regarded Specialist Provision to appoint a Team Teach Trained Teaching Assistant who is passionate about providing the best possible education for vulnerable students.

This specific role is to work within their secondary setting.

The provision works in partnership with local primary and secondary schools to provide an alternative education for SEMH students that have been permanently excluded from school.

They engage their students through creative individualised learning which enables them to gain the academic, social, emotional and independence skills to achieve in learning and life.

You will be supporting students with SEMH (Social, emotional and mental health needs) and challenging behaviour, therefore, it is essential that you have previous experience of working with challenging pupils.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding and successful provision that offers excellent professional development opportunities for its staff.

The role is to commence ASAP on an ongoing basis.
  • Must hold Team Teach Certificate
  • Experience of teaching SEMH students
  • DBS or willing to obtain one
  • 2x references
