Academic Appointments are currently working in partnership with an improving Academy based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, to appoint a Teacher of English for September

The school seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of English from September 2019 on a temporary basis, permanent appointment considered also. In return they offer an exciting opportunity to enhance an already highly successful and motivated team. An excellent knowledge and understanding of the subject is essential. You must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of their students.
The English department is a fantastic supportive team who provide engaging teaching and learning from Year 7 to 13. Students are being prepared for the WJEC/Eduqas GCSEs in English Language and English Literature. At A-Level students can choose to study English Language, English Literature and/or Media Studies.
This is an opportunity to join the school at a new stage in its development and be part of the schools journey towards ‘outstanding’. Leadership and staff strive for continued improvement, transforming the life chances of the young people in our care. The school recently joined an established and highly successful MAT and improvements are already showing. One of the MATs main priorities is the staff development, so if you are a committed English Teacher, who is dedicated to teaching and learning, and want to further your career, this could be a step in the right direction.   • Qualified Teacher Status or relevant teaching qualification is essential
