Academic Appointments are currently working alongside a Pupil Referral Setting in Leeds to appoint a Learning Support Assistant/Behaviour Support Worker.
This outstanding setting provides a highly effective service that contributes to significantly improve outcomes for children and young people who need help, protection and care.
They have also been recognised for their ‘exemplary’ services.
The setting works with SEMH and BESD individuals of ages 11 to 16.
The successful applicant will receive regular CPD training, making it a great position for those who are looking to continue and strengthen their professional development.
This is a full-time position, starting with an immediate effect and is expected to last for 5 weeks at least. Requirements
- Experience of SEMH and challenging behaviours
- Experience of working with challenging behaviour on a 1:1 basis and in small classroom settings
- Strong behaviour management skills
- 2x references
- A valid DBS or be willing to obtain one
- Team Teach certification is desirable but not essential
