Academic Appointments are currently working alongside a highly regarded trust to recruit a SEMH Teacher who is passionate about providing the best possible education for vulnerable students.
This specific role is to work within their secondary setting located in South Leeds.
The provision works in partnership with local primary and secondary schools to provide an alternative education for SEMH students that have been permanently excluded from school.
They engage their students through creative individualised learning which enables them to gain the academic, social, emotional and independence skills to achieve in learning and life.
You will be teaching students with SEMH (Social, emotional and mental health needs) and challenging behaviour, therefore, it is essential that you have previous experience of working with challenging pupils.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding and successful provision that offers excellent professional development opportunities for its staff.
The role is to commence on Monday the 30th April for 6 weeks on a full-time basis.REQUIREMENTS
- QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Team Teach certificate is desirable
- Experience of teaching SEMH students
- DBS or willing to obtain one
- 2x references
